In yet another example of Greenpeace putting their ideology ahead of everything else, activists at the UN climate meeting in Lima, Peru have allegedly desecrated ancient holy Inca sites with banners, including the Nazca site. The actions are potentially criminal, as discussed in this video just released by CFACT.org.
CFACT executive director Craig Rucker, who narrates the above video, tells me the story is pretty big news in Peru right now.
“Pressuring politicians on climate change is not working. We saw that in Copenhagen. Three months later, we also know why. Which is why the global climate movement now must do course-correction. We need to shift targets and go after the real termites that hollowed out and imploded Copenhagen.
……
We need to hit them where it hurts most, by any means necessary: through the power of our votes, our taxes, our wallets, and more.
…
The politicians have failed. Now it’s up to us. We must break the law to make the laws we need: laws that are supposed to protect society, and protect our future. Until our laws do that, screw being climate lobbyists. Screw being climate activists. It’s not working. We need an army of climate outlaws.
……
If you’re one of those who have spent their lives undermining progressive climate legislation, bankrolling junk science, fueling spurious debates around false solutions, and cattle-prodding democratically-elected governments into submission, then hear this:
We know who you are. We know where you live. We know where you work.
And we be many, but you be few”

As far as I am concerned Greenpeace ceased being a reputable organization decades ago. It is nothing more than an ecofascist organization bent on raising money at any cost. It is the ISIS of environmentalism.
GreenpISIS?
From the article about this at the Express UK which describes Greenpeace Director Kumi Naidoo’s visit to Peru to apologize for this “crass stunt”:
…The director of Greenpeace will travel to Peru to personally apologise for the group’s publicity stunt near the ancient Nazca lines.
…Deputy Culture Minister Luis Jaime Castillo called it a “slap in the face at everything Peruvians consider sacred.”
He said the government would seek to prevent those responsible from leaving the country and ask prosecutors to file charges of “attacking archaeological monuments” – a crime punishable by up to six years in prison.
Mr Castillo said no one, not even presidents and government ministers, are allowed without authorisation where the activists trod and those who do have permission must wear special shoes….

More pictures, including of the special shoes which should have been used.

The news about Greenpeace destroying archeological treasures isn’t really surprising.
I’m surprised you didn’t comment on “Gender equality must guide 2015 climate deal, U.N. envoy says: TRFN”. It turns out that the effort to stop climate change and the effort to insure gender equality are one and the same! Who knew? 🙂
They just get loonier and loonier and loonier; it is impossible to parody that which is beyond parody.
I reckon that the biggest problem faced by our politicians is how to out of this mess with any semblance of integrity, competence or intelligence; and with no blame for wasting billions & destroying power supplies. To protect themselves someone will have to take one for the team.
Scientists have been cute enough to use words like “might”, “could”, “possibility of” but never use “will”.
Only idiots like Greenpi$$ International, WWF and tax-greedy governments used that word.
Get the popcorn ready, someone is going to blink and fess up. Remember Rio? The climate faithful voted that climate Scientists should be exempt from prosecution…..prosecution for what exactly I wonder?
What a nightmare. The pictures on the link above show actual damage. What an irrational collective ego to think they represent an idea that is more important than a nations heritage. Hopefully everyone involved gets the 6 yrs in prison and even the ones that were aware but did not intervene (man in the interview) are held accountable at some level. The event was obviously planned in advance to seamlessly fit such large letters into the ancient landscape art.
Greenpeace has zero respect for any point of view other than their own.
I notice they say nothing regarding any eagles –of which most are sacred to the early peoples of this nation — and other birds which are entangled and killed within any wind farm turbines or smoked out of the air (remember the newly added term of “streamer” brought into play) at the Ivanpah solar plant. In fact, they want more of these high speed birdwhackers, in-flight avian friers and aviation pilot blinding devices built!
These are nothing more than eco-terrorist blackmailers caught in the act of vandalizing what happens to be, among other things, a United Nations World Heritage site. Were there any justice in this old world, they would be buried UNDER the jail. Considering how well funded Greenpeace is, they’ll buy their way out of it. If enough people can see them for what they are, vandals, then maybe some financing will dry up. That would be the best that would happen out of this.
Just another example of why fanatical activists are a danger. They don’t care about anything but their passion and seem to never consider the unintended consequences of their actions. But that defines progressives too doesn’t it?

Does anyone have a list of companies who support Greenpeace financially? I’d like to know so I can avoid doing business with them in the future. Thanks.
Good luck at that. Greenpeace is a multi-national money raising machine.

Greenpeace makes money in the name of environment!
This very sad event reveals the greenies true disposition: in their minds they own the world and the future and nothing else matters. Fanatical. In Peru, they demonstrated a lack of respect for local law and historical custom, and that is to be expected from such low-lifes, as they attempt to step all over every country’s soveriegnty in pusuit of true world power through their fantasy “climate deal”.
If the people of this world do not wake up and wake up fast to the very real threat such fanatics pose should such a deal be brokered, these assholes are going to walk all over everyone.
What do you imagine such people will do if or when they have legalized their intentions?
If anyone thinks they’ll stop to respect your way of life on their way to saving the planet, think again.
I encourage the Peruvian authorities to prosecute these self-centered chumps to the fullest extent. Make an example out of them for all time.

Some years ago one of the founders, or some such, of Greenpeace wrote a disclaimer about his association with the group, telling how it had changed from its origins and he would no longer be associated with what it had become.
Sorry but it looks photoshopped to me, especially the mountain banner. Though I’m not sure it makes a difference.
Oh I see the one image was projected somehow (how?) but there were actual banners too

“Get the popcorn ready, someone is going to blink and fess up. Remember Rio? The climate faithful voted that climate Scientists should be exempt from prosecution…..prosecution for what exactly I wonder?”
Look what happened to poor Gruber when he broke ranks with the administration by telling the truth!
I can’t imagine anyone from “Climate Science” Grubering themselves but it is a fascinating idea. Mickey Mann owning up to his “Nature Trick” or admitting his Tiljander sediment data is inverted…….one could go on and on!
Reminds me of how the residents of Chamula,Chiapas Mexico murdered a tourist for taking pictures inside their church.
I wonder how the Greenpeace activists will fare amongst the Peruvian populace ?
The Greenpeace activists might be better off in jail.
