It’s a beautiful day in most of Ireland today, as seen by the MODIS instrument on the Terra satellite (click for full size image):

    How about showing Kilamanjoro.

    • Roy Spencer says:

Kilamanjaro is kind of small to show up with much detail with the resolution of MODIS (250 m), but I’ll keep my eye out for a good (relatively cloud-free) day there.

Have you seen Kilamanjaro in the Google Earth default aircraft imagery? Pretty spectacular.

        Just to say,
my brother in law (who is one who believe in AGW), went to Kilimanjaro two years ago, in summer, believing to find a snow free high.
He gets his face almost frozen and he has just to thank to a local travel guide if he is still alive.

Of course, I never say to him and to my sister anything after he returned. Sometimes a direct experience is the best and harsh teacher.

        Have a great day.

        Massimo
