Most of the fall color is from the corn crop vegetative die off as the corn kernels ripen.

    It’s not just corn and soybeans. Maples were putting on a show on my drive from Pewaukee to Kiel yesterday.

    Wanna give us some fall colors doc? Try MA and NY. Late last week drove the big truck up to Hatfield, MA and back going via the southern Tier of NY over I-86 to I-88 to the I-90 turnpike. Prime leaf looking time and it’s gorgeous.
